Thanksgiving, A Baptism and DADA!!!!

Time to catch up a little, I've been very behind on this and SO much has happened since Halloween.

Sam has started crawling and he can move. He does an army crawl and before you know it he is in the kitchen banging the cabinets. Another favorite of his, opening and closing cabinets, and doors.
He trapped Mommy in the kitchen pantry one day, I didn't realize he could close doors and then BAM the door was closed.

He is now sitting up on his own and can pull himself up on to things. Although this is a little bit harder in our house as he is usually in footie pajamas and we have laminate wood floors so he slips and slides a lot.

We went to ZOO LIGHTS, it was a lot of fun and you loved looking at all the lights. You managed to stay awake most of the night.
Zoo Lights

We celebrated your first Thanksgiving and you slept through a lot of it, but you did wake up just as Mommy and Daddy were starting to eat dinner. Thanks Sam!
Happy Thanksgiving

You were Baptized on November 24, 2013. Aunt Sara and Uncle Mike are your godparents. We were able to celebrate with a lot of family. All the grandparents came out and a lot of Aunts and Uncles and Great Aunts and Uncles. Very special day.
Baptism

Your first words have been spoken and sadly it was not Mama :(  But....you did make your father very happy but saying DADA. He even got it on video which Mama was very happy to be able to see since it took you forever to say it to me.

You are waving HI and it is sooo stinking cute. We were at the mall today finishing up Christmas shopping and we were watching the kids playing on the toys and you were waving at them and were so Happy to do it.

Your 9 month Doctor visit has you weighing at 19 lbs 7 oz and 27 3/4 inches. You are such a growing boy.
We also found out that you have 4 teeth coming in. Very much looking forward to the next few weeks.

We started giving you puffs, which you love and you are even starting to get most into your mouth. Mama fed you some scrambled eggs yesterday and you enjoyed those as much too.

We threw a Baby Shower for the Izzo's. It was a lot of fun, a lot of people showed up and there were a lot of little kids running around. Most were toddler age, but there was one little boy that was your age and was crawling around on the floor with you. When you two saw each other you just crawled into each other and squared off for a minute and then went on your way.
We are anxiously waiting to find out if the Izzo's are having a boy or a girl. We still have a little bit of time left until we find out. Mommy is hoping for a little boy for you to play with.

We just went and saw your Cousin Ava sing at her school. It was So cute. The kids sang 10 or so Christmas songs with dance moves. Ava was front and center and at times singing the loudest and I think she really liked the Little Drummer Boy, or at least I loved watching her do it because her arms were swinging pretty high.

Here you are playing around with a Santa Hat. Mommy's favorite.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Halloween!!!

Sam celebrated his first Halloween and I would say it was a success!!!
He loved his costume...Ninja Turtle and had fun Trick-Or-Treating.  So much fun he passed out with his hand in his candy bucket after about 15 minutes. One step at a time. At least he wore his costume. I remember my sister kids not loving theirs so much. His was more like pajamas so it wasn't any different for him. It was a lot of fun watching the nieces and nephews Trick-Or-Treating. Especially Ava & Noah, they were really in to it this year. Maybe next year he can make it a little bit longer and actually get some good candy for Mom and Dad to eat. :)
I'm so looking forward to the holidays this year. It is so much more fun now that we had Sam. Even though this year he won't know what's going on it's fun to start showing him the Holidays.

Daddy dressed as a Ninja Turtle too!!!!

Noah-Ring Bearer; Sam-Ninja Turtle; Ava-Fairy; Sophia-Ghoul; Alex-Creeper (Minecraft)

So a little catch up as to what's going on with Sam lately.
He is motoring around this house, the kid isn't even crawling yet but he gets out of your sight within seconds. We have started the baby proofing which mostly means for us is to cut back and clear out some things. There is so much for him to get in to. Nick gets to spend his day off doing some of that.
He is trying to crawl so much but he does a great army crawl and pulls himself all over the place and he rolls a lot too and will do a lot of 180 turns to get where he wants to go.
He's also pulling himself up on things. Trouble is coming our way.
We think another tooth is coming this kid is drooling buckets.
Eating more types of food. Mac & Cheese with vegetables . He LOVES Bananas.
You are loving drinking water from a bottle you can hold it up for a little bit to get the water.
Sam has had his first sleep over. He spent the night with Grandma Eileen and he was a prince. Like he would be any different.
We are looking forward to all the family holidays coming up. Nick will get to meet a lot more cousins (second) coming this December. I can't wait.
Also looking forward to celebrating the next baby Izzo...fingers crossed for a little boy. Sorry Meg!!!

Schnepf's Farm

Last weekend we went to Schnepfs farm with the Izzo's. We had a lot of fun, you are still a little young to be able to do much other then be pushed around in the stroller, but we had fun. We got to see some sheep, goats and a really big cow. We also watched some pig races and you watched Lexi go on the merry-go-round. You passed out about half way through and Daddy and I enjoyed trying to find our way through the Corn Maze.

Also last weekend you hit 7 months. Time is really starting to fly by. You are rolling like crazy and right now it is your only way of getting around. You get chased by Leila at the babysitters as she can crawl and all you can do is roll away from her. I hear she gets you cornered against the couch and then pounces.
You are starting to not like your green vegetables as much, but we found a vegetable mix that has peas, green beans, and carrots and you actually like it. Although Banana's are your favorite.  You are about half food and half formula these days. At your doctors visit you were 18lbs 13 ozs. You are gaining about a pound a month.
So much more baby babble lately, ba ba and ma ma are your main ones. But you will make any kind of noise you can with your lips. Your really good at spitting, especially your food!
Still only the two teeth but they are almost completely all the way in.
You are trying to crawl, you will get your legs under you but you don't really know what to do from there and you end up sprawled on your stomach, but crawling is coming.

Rolling, Rolling

Time is Flying By!!!!!!

Happy 6 months my precious little boy. You have been such a joy in our lives and we are loving every moment with you. Every day is a new adventure seeing what you will do or accomplish.
My little boy is growing up and you just can't wait to do it.
You have two teeth, and they are razor sharp.
You now fully sit up with no assistance and no bobbing around, you can reach for toys on the ground and bring yourself back up.
You can roll from your stomach to your back....Finally, this one took a while.
You are eating food. So far you have only tried Squash we are starting carrots tomorrow.
You are so talkative, we love it. I predict your first word will be Mama, your almost saying it now.
You are such a thinker, you stare at a toy turning it around examining it.
You are weighing in at 17 lbs 9 oz and 26 inches long.
You make the funniest faces and noises you love to smack your lips and stick out your tongue.
You are trying to crawl, I'm guessing we can expect to see that in the next month.
We have enjoyed these first six months and can't wait for the next six.

Whatcha talking about Momma

Who is that baby!!!

Your 6 month photo shoot

Your first feeding- Squash

The day after you turned 6 months, Mommy celebrated a big milestone as well. You got to celebrate Mommy's 30th birthday. We had a wonderful weekend. On Friday my birthday we went to P.F. Changs with the Jeanettes, the Leptuchs, Jacy and Dave. Lots of good food and good drinks. After dinner we went to Aunt Sara's house for some yummy cake and champagne. On Saturday I went out with some very lovely and very pregnant women. Megan, Erin, Kim and Sonny joined us for dinner at Uncle Bear's and since we had a DD Nick and I were able to enjoy a few extra drinks at dinner. And of course dinner with a bunch of pregnant women wouldn't be complete if we didn't walk over to the Baskin Robbins for some Ice-Cream! It was a very fun weekend and I was so happy to be able to spend it with some of my favorite people. Looking forward to the next 30 years!

All good things must come to an end

We managed to get to almost 6 months before this little boy became a crier. But this weekend he has done nothing but cry. I'm really hoping that the cause is his tooth that is coming in and any other's that we can't see and his stuffy nose. He has been sick for the past few days and it has not been very pleasant for him or us. We had a very bad night a couple of nights ago with him waking up every few hours, and I think that was mostly due to his nose and he would have trouble breathing. I do believe he is getting better, but his daytime naps are no fun. We can't get him to sleep more then 45 minutes to an hour and then he wakes up SCREAMING...such a joy. Hopefully this is a little phase that will end very soon.

On a more happier note, we bought a new car this weekend, a bigger family car. Our little Hyundai Elantra's were not cutting it when we would travel with all of the baby stuff. Plus we were always having to borrow family cars if we bought anything big. We went with a Toyota Highlander and aside from the new car smell which we hate the car is awesome. We haven't had to fill it up yet, so I'm sure that awesome feeling will go down a little. But it was time for the upgrade and the Holiday weekend provided us the opportunity.

Anything and Everything you can grab you put in your mouth!

Family Weekend

Last weekend Papa Ron and Nana came to visit and they fell in LOVE with you, as if there was any doubt. You can now go down in history as the first grand kid to NOT cry when Papa Ron held you. You are just to happy of a child to do any crying.  You had so much fun being around the family. Thursday night was spent at the Leptuch house with yummy pizza. We hosted the Friday night dinner with very yummy Carne Asada which was a success. This day was nice as we were able to have you at home to play with all of your toys. Ava and Noah were able to enjoy all of their old toys that have been passed on to you. Saturday we spent the day at Aunt Jacy's and ended the fun packed weekend with a brunch at Uncle Brian's to bid farewell to the Grandparent's. I was very excited for you to meet Papa Ron as this is where your name comes from. Samuel is his middle name and his Father's first name.
 Papa Ron

We kept missing you when you were smiling. As soon as we took the picture your smile would come out.

Apparently you did not like the taste of Uncle Brian's nose!!!!

Yesterday, Saturday August 24th was the first day that Daddy and I witnessed you sitting up. We were very EXCITED. You are getting so big and growing up so fast. I wish you would slow down a little. Also you have a tooth coming in. Bottom front left tooth. We can clearly see the tooth and feel it.
You sat for a couple of minutes before falling over.

Smiley!!!!!

Phillip the Bear!

The weekend was so much fun and busy you and Daddy could not stay awake. You two enjoyed a nice nap together.

Babysitter!!!!

Sam has been going to see Liz his new babysitter for three weeks now and we absolutely love her. Sam has so much fun over there and they adore him. Their only complaint is when Nick goes to pick him up at the end of the day and they don't want him to leave. I'm so happy that we were lucky enough to find her. She is so good with Sam. She can even get him to take 3 hour naps which we can't get him to do even an hour.
You are a rolling machine, well from your back to your stomach. You get stuck on your stomach.  You are doing it in the middle of the night now. Sometimes it wakes you up and it makes you very angry. A couple of times Daddy has found you on your stomach in the morning sleeping.
You are still drooling like crazy and no teeth still. I think they are coming, when is the question.
You are getting so big everyday and learning so many new things. WE are loving it.
You fell asleep with your foot in your hand!!!!

Sam and Nemo- (Baby Fisher)

You have a STRONG grip on you. I see you pulling that thing off the chair very soon.

I know I talked about Megan being pregnant a couple of weeks ago. Well I'm very excited to say that I have another friend that is pregnant as well. Your friend Erin, you like to give her the crazy lad stare (her words). She is only a few weeks behind Megan. So I am going to be in Baby Heaven come Jan/Feb. Your are going to have so many little friends to play with. I can't wait!!!!!
We have named her baby Nemo until she finds out the gender. You gave her the Nemo toy you are holding in the picture above. Showing how you guys are going to be best buds. I'm crossing my fingers for some little boys, but my luck they will both have girls.

Time is flying by

Your four months already, I can't believe how old, and big your are getting. Your last doctor visit, which was on July 12th you weighed in at 15 lbs 2 oz and 24.25 inches. Yikes! But your still only in the 50% for weight.
-You have found your toes and are constantly trying to put them in your mouth.
-We finally moved you into your own room a few weeks ago and it's going pretty well. You do wake up a little more, but we just put your paci back in and you fall back asleep.
-You are still at 6 oz of formula but we are going to start you on some rice cereal this week. You are eating more frequently then you used to.
-You can now roll yourself over from your back to your stomach with no help, but not from your stomach to your back. We are working on it.
-You love the bumpo chair. We just push it up to your mat and you play with your toys.
-You also love your little bouncy chair. There is a little bird on it that you stare at. And you are pressing buttons on there as well, but I'm not so sure it's on purpose :)
-You are still in 3 month clothing but some of that is starting to fit a little tight and some we can't get over your head.
Your four month photo!!!

I'm sad to say that last week was your last week of being watched by Grandma and Megan.  I know you have enjoyed your time with them and your going to be sad not to be seeing Ava, Noah and Lexi. Thank you to Mom, Sara, Ava, Noah, Megan & Lexi for watching Sam. I know he will be sad not to see you all everyday.
But you will get to make new friends. Your new babysitter Liz has a little boy who is 3 years old and I think you are going to have a lot of fun with him. That starts tomorrow and Mommy is a little anxious about it. It will be the first non family or friend that has watched you. I know you will do good because you are a sweet little man and you are also a very good little boy. You don't see to have trouble with strange people. We shall see how it goes. It will only be four days a week and then you get one day a week with Daddy, which I know you will LOVE!!!!!

I'm very excited to say that a little less then a month before your first birthday you will be having a little friend coming along. Megan is pregnant with her second child. I"m crossing my fingers for a little boy for you to play with. She is hoping for a girl. We won't know until the baby is born though. They are not going to find out the gender of the baby. Boo!

Some exciting news before I end this. Grandpa and Grandma DeMario are coming for a visit in August. It's your last set of grandparents for you to meet. I'm so excited for them to meet you. You are such a sweet little boy.

One more cute photo!

Father's Day!!!

I can't believe I forgot to mention Daddy's special day. Unfortunately he was out of town and we were not able to surprise him we did take some cute photos for him and face-timed with him to wish him a very Happy Father's Day!!! He also got his presents before he went on his trip. Plenty of cute photos of you little man. Next year maybe we can give him a real treat. Mommy will help you to make something very special. And we will tell Daddy, NO TRIPS!!!!
Happy Father's Daddy!
I tried to get Max in the picture, but he was not having it.

This was your Daddy's coming home outfit. We missed him soooooo much!

Teething....Just Kidding!!!

So I'm sure like every new parent when your baby starts to naw on their hands and fingers and drools like crazy they think they might be teething. Nick had a particularly bad day with Sam a few weeks ago where he could not settle him. He cried and screamed all day. Not unusual for a baby, but pretty unusual for our baby. He just doesn't do that often. So we assumed that he was teething, but we weren't sure if we could feel anything in his gums or not. Turns out he's not teething, just being fussy more then usual. But I think we got a little glimpse of days to come when he does start to teeth. No teething aside our little man is really starting to show some personality.
You are very happy about 95% of the time.
You love to be tickled and you let out great big laughs. The other day Mommy was blowing away your smelly burp and you closed your eyes and moved your head to the wind and then you let out a great big laugh. So of course I had to keep doing it to show Daddy and just because your face was so darn cute. I wish I had gotten a picture.
I love to hold you because you always smile when you see Mommy's face, which brings a great big grin to Mommy's face. You haven't forgotten what I look like yet, now that you don't see me everyday.
You can now roll over from your back to your stomach. You roll to your side first which then leads to you rolling to your stomach, you DO NOT like being on your stomach and will let out big wails when it happens.

We went up to Prescott a couple of weekends ago for the Budd Family Camping trip. This would be your first big trip. You did very good with the family with being passed around. Sometimes you would be fussy in Mommy or Daddy arm's but would calm right down when someone else held you.
You slept most of the time when we were in downtown Prescott!

Chilling with Daddy in the Cabin. ASU Pride!!!!!

3 months

Wow, my 3 months old little man. Time is flying by, your growing up so fast.  I can't believe how much you have grown in the few months of your life.  You are doing so many things too.
You can stand on your legs for about 10 seconds and you are getting stronger every day.
You love grabbing things and you have a very strong grip. Daddy learned that the hard way you almost ripped out all of his chest hair! :)
You love putting your toys in your mouth and your fingers. You stick you whole hand in your mouth.
You have rolled onto your side a couple of times.
You still hate tummy time!
You are laughing and you have let out a few screeches of delight. Mostly towards lion.
Speaking of lion, he is still your favorite toy but the crinkle monkey is a very close second.
Right now I am watching you kick at your mat and you have turned yourself a good 90 degrees. Your a little mover and a shaker.
You move A LOT in the middle of the night which Mommy learned the hard way her first night alone with you. You are not awake but you kick your legs a lot. You are waking up about 3:30 in the morning, but we just put the paci back in and maybe re-wrap your swaddle and you are good to go for another couple of hours. On the day you turned 3 months you slept through the WHOLE night. No 3 am wake up call. Of course you haven't done it since, but it was nice for Mommy.
You love to stare at patterns, especially on shirts, or emblems that are on shirts.
Megan has been noticing you love to stare at this one burp rag that has dinosaurs on it.
You are starting to escape your swaddle in the middle of the night. No matter how tightly we wrap you. You always seem to get a hand out.

I laid you on your back and you immediately rolled over

 Standing on your legs

This is what momma woke up to this morning.

Forts

Whenever my Sister has big boxes around their house from something they ordered my brother-in-law will make something for the kids to play in. He once made them a sweet ship. Recently my Sister received her new cabinets that came in some pretty big boxes and her kids just got the coolest fort made for them.

It had a door and windows and little pop outs on the top. The kids were having the time of their life. I was sad that Sam was too little to adventure in there. Hopefully someday his dad will help him to make cool forts. Although Nick is a big believer in the pillows and blankets forts. So I have a feeling we will have them around the house all the time.

Swimming!

This past weekend we went swimming at Aunt Jacy's house. It was the first time we attempted to actually take you in the water, and let's just say. It did not go well...at...all. You started crying as soon as Daddy dipped you in the water. It doesn't look like we will be taking you in the pool much this summer. Hopefully next summer you won't hate it as much. Even though you did not enjoy the water, your cousins all had fun playing in the pool and you enjoyed being held by your Aunts.
 Ava!
 Cousins Sophie and Alex
You were not a happy camper.

Noah in his cute fedora hat! Maybe when your his age we will get a photo of you in that hat.

Mommy was doing tummy time with you the other day and I was able to get the cutest photo of you, I just had to add it on here.
You still hate tummy time, pretty sure you will never like it.

I'm sad to say that we are spending our last week together. Mommy goes back to work next week. Although you and I had our last visit to your Cousins house. You will be spending a lot of time over there this summer. When Grandma is watching you she will be bringing you over there to watch you. So you are going to have a fun, very hectic summer.
